Dave Saville, a legendary sidecar racer, left an indelible mark on the world of motorcycle racing. In 1980, alongside his partner Simon Birchall, he took on the challenging Sidecar TT race with their Sabre Yamaha. The duo showcased their exceptional skills and determination as they navigated through treacherous bends and thrilling straights. Fast forward to 1993, and Dave Saville found himself at the Bungalow during another Sidecar TT event. His expertise behind the handlebars was evident as he fearlessly tackled every twist and turn that came his way. Throughout his career, Dave Saville formed formidable partnerships with fellow racers such as Dave Hall. Together in 1988's Sidecar TT race, they pushed boundaries and defied limits aboard their powerful Sabre machine. The year 1990 saw an exhilarating display of talent from Dave Saville alongside Nick Roche (Sabre Yamaha), Mick Boddice & Dave Wells (Ireson Honda), Neil Smith & Steven Mace (Windle Yamaha) during the Sidecar TT Race A. Their synchronized movements were a testament to teamwork and shared passion for speed. Not limited to sidecars alone, it also ventured into solo races like Parliament Square where he showcased his individual prowess on two wheels. White Gates became witness to his relentless pursuit of victory during the intense Sidecar Race B in 1990. As he left Parliament Square during Race A that same year, spectators marveled at Dave Saville's skillful maneuvers while bidding farewell to one chapter of an extraordinary journey. In various editions of the prestigious Sidecar TT races throughout the years - be it in partnership with Simon Birchall or David Hall - Davie Saville consistently demonstrated why he was considered one of the greats. His unwavering dedication to mastering every aspect of this demanding sport made him a force to be reckoned with on any track.
