"Day Labourers: Carrying the Weight of History" In this captivating image captured in San Remo, Italy, we witness a group of determined load carriers transporting a piece of furniture on their heads. This historic scene, digitally restored to its former glory from an 18th-century original, showcases the resilience and strength of these individuals whose exact date remains unknown. Amongst them are Loutrel Francois, a Parisian native aged 37 and an anarchist laborer. Raboin Paul, Pierre, Augustin hailing from Ouzoir-sur-Loire (Loiret) at the age of 32 joins him in their daily toil. Gaston Auguste Perot, born in Paris XVllle and aged 22 also contributes his efforts as an anarchist day laborer. Sebastien Bissonier at just 19 years old represents St Bonnet (Allier) with pride as another diligent day laborer. Henri Marc Julien Birilay adds his experience at the age of 46; he was born in Chartres (Eure & Loir). Auguste Garnier brings his expertise to the team at the age of 34 after being born in Perigny (Cote-d Or). Louis Auguste Grandidier stands tall among them as a young twenty-year-old journalier from St-Denis (Seine). Louis Alfred Imhof adds international flavor to this diverse group; he is Swiss-born and aged 37 while embracing anarchism. Georges Gustave Jacob carries forth his Parisian roots proudly at the age of 43 as yet another dedicated journalier. Pierre Guerlinger's journey began on May 31st, 1965 when he was born in St-Avold (Moselle), making him now a seasoned laborer at only twenty-eight years old.
