From the vibrant colour lithographs capturing the essence of this majestic event to the black and white photographs showcasing its regal participants, every aspect was meticulously documented. In 1877, The Nizam of Hyderabad stood tall in his monochrome portrait, radiating power and authority. The Imperial Durbar at Delhi was immortalized in an exquisite engraving, depicting a scene filled with dignitaries from across the nation paying homage to their ruler. The tented village in 1903 exuded an air of enchantment as it housed visitors who marveled at its splendor. Outside the Railway Station during this momentous occasion, crowds gathered eagerly to catch a glimpse of royalty arriving amidst a riot of colours. A slipper-maker diligently crafting footwear symbolizing tradition while Mortimer L Menpes' artistry brought alive state elephants adorned in resplendent trappings. An elephant from Central India stood proud against a backdrop that echoed centuries-old customs. Rhino hunts organized as part of celebrations honored King George V's visit; vividly colored lithographs captured these thrilling expeditions where man confronted nature's might for royal adulation. Delhi Durbar encapsulated not just pomp but also provided insights into Indian culture through its diverse facets - be it regal ceremonies or ordinary craftsmen.
