In 1978 at the Sidecar TT, Hawes joined forces with Allan Barclay under Anderson Yamaha's banner. Their synchronized maneuvers and unwavering determination earned them a place among legends. Similarly, their partnership in 1968 aboard a Seeley machine proved fruitful as they conquered another Sidecar TT challenge. Throughout his career, Hawes embraced different motorcycles that became synonymous with his name. The BRM Yamaha was one such example - a powerful beast that propelled him towards victory and cemented his status as an elite racer. In 2007 during a Parade Lap astride Busch BMW alongside Julie Hanks, he delighted fans once again with his timeless passion for speed. The bond between Hawes and Eddie Kiff was truly special; together they achieved remarkable feats on multiple occasions. Whether it was their triumphant ride on Ireson at the 1996 Sidecar TT or their unforgettable Parade Lap aboard Busch in 2002, these two were unstoppable force to be reckoned with. Hawes' collaboration with Eddie Kiff extended beyond specific machines; they triumphed together riding Langham Jacobs in the year 2000 and DMR five years later at the prestigious Sidecar TT event. Their chemistry exemplified teamwork at its finest - trust built through countless hours of training and shared dedication to excellence.
