Donington Park, a historic racing circuit located in the heart of England, has witnessed countless thrilling moments throughout its illustrious history. From legendary drivers like Tazio Nuvolari and the powerful D Type Auto-Union to modern-day heroes such as Ayrton Senna, this track has seen it all. In one corner of Donington's rich tapestry lies CM7 9942 Peter Chappell, piloting his Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 with precision and skill. The roar of engines fills the air as Formula One World Championship contender Ayrton Senna dominates the treacherous conditions in his McLaren MP4/8. Meanwhile, CM1 5502 Andrew Mansell showcases his prowess behind the wheel of a Merlyn Mk11A while Dick Dixon fearlessly tackles corners in his Lotus 61. In another breathtaking moment captured at Donington Park, an MG Magnette leads a Frazer Nash on an exhilarating chase. The diversity of cars continues to impress as CM18 4502 Barry Davison maneuvers through curves in his Lotus Elan S2. Not far behind is CM18 4172 Colin Flynn showcasing the agility of a Morris Mini Cooper. Adam Gittings takes control of a Ford Anglia 105E (CM18 4186) while John Spiers conquers laps with finesse in his Ford Lotus Cortina (CM18 4182). Notable performances also include Simon Benoy's Hillman Imp (CM18 4709), CJ3 1123 John Avill's Ford Lotus Cortina (BLT935B), and their remarkable displays on this hallowed ground. On March 30th, 2019, Historic Formula Junior made its grand entrance for HSCC Season Opener at Donington Park. This event marked yet another chapter etched into the circuit's storied past—a testament to its enduring legacy and unwavering appeal to motorsport enthusiasts worldwide.
