In 1887, Muybridge immortalized a remarkable scene - a man and horse gracefully leaping over a fence. This iconic photograph showcases his ability to freeze action with precision and clarity, leaving viewers captivated by the sheer beauty of this fleeting moment. Another striking image from his Animal Locomotion series is "Transverse-Gallop. " In black and white, it captures the raw power and elegance of horses galloping at full speed. Through these images, Muybridge provided invaluable insight into equine biomechanics that would forever change equestrian sports.
