Celebrating Cooperation: A Village Transition (1926) by Tcheptsov, depicts a harmonious community coming together on this Cooperative Day. Contrastingly, Expropriation, a harsh reality, is portrayed in Requisition of Cattle for the Red Army (1920), where villagers are forced to part with their livestock. The New Life series (1932) by Evgrafov and Lissitzky illustrate the collective farming spirit and the introduction of modern technology, such as tractors, replacing the old ways. Yet, progress came with challenges, as seen in Building of Avenue de l Opera (1876), where inhabitants were displaced during its extension. Through these artworks, we witness the complexities and transformations of rural life during periods of change.
