Giorgio Barbarelli, also known as Giorgione, was a renowned Italian painter of the High Renaissance period. Born in Venice around 1477, he quickly gained recognition for his innovative use of color and light in his works. His paintings often depicted mythological or biblical scenes with a sense of intimacy and emotion that set him apart from other artists of his time.
