Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin, a name that still echoes through history. In this sepia photo capturing the end of the Romanovs, we catch a glimpse of the man who held immense power over Nicholas II and his wife, Aleksandra Fedorovna. A caricature from the early 20th century depicts Rasputin's undeniable influence on the royal couple. In an oil on canvas portrait, Iusupov is immortalized alongside Rasputin - two figures whose destinies would intertwine in one fateful night. Karl Karlovich Bulla's photograph from 1910 showcases Rasputin's enigmatic presence as a Russian mystic. Rasputin himself is captured in another photograph from the early 20th century, exuding an aura of mystery and spirituality. As Russia faced turbulent times, he emerged as a prominent figure with his prophetic visions and supposed healing abilities. The year was 1917 when Grigori Rasputin found himself surrounded by a group of women who were captivated by his charm and charisma. Among them was Vera Karalli, a renowned ballet dancer and silent film actress who fell under his spell in 1915.
