Despite his reign as King of Spain from 1661 to 1700, he faced numerous physical and mental challenges that earned him this enigmatic nickname. Another significant event in Habsburg history is Maria Theresa's encounter with the Hungarian Parliament. This powerful queen had to navigate complex political landscapes while maintaining her authority over Hungary.
