Amidst the tranquil beauty of Amanohashidate, Count Hayashi Tadasu (1850-1913) pondered diplomatic affairs, his thoughts interrupted only by the ethereal approach of a geisha in traditional attire. In a different era, he played a pivotal role in Japan's modernization, negotiating the Anglo-Japanese Alliance in 1902 as a cabinet minister. Yet, even the distinguished Count was startled by the unexpected appearance Misao in 1919, a girlish figure emerging from the wavering shadows of his past.
