"Braving the Torrential Downpour: A Tale of Racing Legends and Unyielding Rain" In a race against nature's fury, the fearless drivers CM5 7842 Jonathan Hoad in his Van Diemen RF90, CM5 7140 Sarah Hutchison with her Lotus Seven S2, and 5639 H in their powerful machine faced the ultimate challenge – heavy rain. Undeterred by the relentless downpour, they were joined by CM32 3348 Simon Garrad in his Nissan Skyline R32 and CM5 7036 Maddy Maguire behind the wheel of her MG ZR160. Together with Andy Middlehurst in another Nissan Skyline (CM32 3478), they formed an alliance against Mother Nature's wrath. But it wasn't just on the racetrack where heavy rain made its presence felt. The floods that struck Brisbane left a trail of destruction, prompting brave soldiers from NSW to lend a helping hand (BRISBANE SOLDIERS NSW FLOOD ASSIST). Amidst this chaos, CJ10 2228 David Dickenson showcased his driving skills as he maneuvered through treacherous waters in his Lotus Ford Cortina. Simon Garrad returned to face yet another challenge alongside Ric Wood and Freddie Hunt - this time battling not only each other but also torrential rain while driving their Nissan Skyline GT-Rs (CJ10 2246). These racing legends proved that nothing could dampen their spirits when it came to conquering adverse weather conditions. The floods continued to wreak havoc across Queensland (FLOODS QLD), drawing attention from none other than Scott Morrison himself (SCOTT MORRISON QUEENSLAND FLOODS). As wet weather persisted throughout the region (WET WEATHER QLD), CJ9 2954 David Tomlin took on a different kind of race altogether – one against time as he navigated through flooded roads in his Lola T210.
