Hindmarsh: A Name Synonymous with Speed and Excellence. From the hallowed grounds of Brooklands, the roar of engines echoed the spirit of competition. In 1931, two Talbot 105s sat in the pits, ready for the JCC Double Twelve race. The team, fueled by determination and skill, included test pilots Summers, Lucas, and Hindmarsh. The name Hindmarsh was no stranger to victory. In 1935, at Le Mans, Captain John Hindmarsh, RN, KH, and co-driver Luigi Chinetti, driving a Lagonda, claimed the top spot. Hindmarsh's racing career began much earlier, in 1926, when Violette Cordery, a female racer, sought his guidance. The Northumberland Football Team may have been his first love, but the thrill of the race soon took over. Hindmarsh's skill behind the wheel was unmatched, and his record at Brooklands spoke for itself. Cars raced on Byfleet Banking during the BRDC 500 Mile Race in 1931, with Hindmarsh at the helm, leaving spectators in awe. Sir John Hindmarsh, a name synonymous with speed, courage, and determination, etched in the annals of racing history.
