One of his notable works is "Virtui est gratus quoties. . " created in 1597, alongside Robert Boissard. This piece showcases the appreciation for virtue and its gratifying nature. In another creation titled "Turpe senex miles. . " from 1570-1650, also by Robert Boissard, Jean Jacques explores the concept of old age being an unsuitable time for military service.
