John Taylor, a name that resonates with both motorsports enthusiasts and music lovers alike. In the realm of racing, John Taylor made his mark on the track, leaving behind a legacy that is still celebrated today. It all began in 1969 when John Taylor took part in the Aermacchi Junior TT race. With sheer determination and skill, he showcased his talent to the world, setting himself up for an incredible journey ahead. In 1973, riding for Seeley Suzuki, John Taylor participated in the Formula 750 TT event. The thrill of speed coursed through his veins as he pushed boundaries and conquered challenges on two wheels. The year 1975 proved to be another milestone for this remarkable racer. This time representing Egerton Yamaha, John Taylor competed in the prestigious Senior TT race. His unwavering focus and unwavering commitment propelled him forward as he crossed that finish line with triumph etched across his face. Fast forward to 1979 when John Taylor once again dominated the Isle of Man circuit during the Junior TT race while riding for Yamaha. His expertise on motorcycles was unmatched as he weaved through corners and flew down straightaways with unparalleled finesse. But there's more to this extraordinary individual than just racing prowess. In a surprising turn of events, our very own John Taylor found himself receiving an award from DJ Kid Jensen during his tenure as Duran Duran's bass player in February 1981. Music became another avenue where he could showcase his talents and captivate audiences around the world. Duran Duran concerts were electrifying experiences filled with unforgettable moments like Simon Le Bon taking center stage or fans approaching them with adoration during performances. These snapshots captured their meteoric rise to fame throughout their career spanning decades. Even amidst musical success, John never forgot about his passion for racing. In 1974, he continued pushing boundaries at Isle of Man by participating in yet another Junior TT race, this time riding for Yamaha.
