Joseph 1879-1953: A Revolutionary Leader and Architect of the Soviet Union In commemoration of Joseph Stalin's significant contributions to the Soviet Union, a 30th anniversary stamp captures his powerful presence. The stamp showcases an intricate detail, symbolizing the enduring legacy of this influential figure. At the 17th Congress of the CPSU, a momentous event in Soviet history, politicians and communist thinkers gathered under the banner "Bienvenue au 17eme Congres du Parti communiste de l'Union sovietique (PCUS)" to honor their ideals. Among them stood Vladimir Ilitch Oulianov, known as Lenin, who laid down the foundations for communism. However, it was Joseph Vissarionovich Djougachvili - better known as Joseph Stalin - who redefined the Soviet constitution during the extraordinary 8th congress on December 5th, 1936. Stalin's vision extended beyond political boundaries; he aimed to raise higher not only Marx and Engels but also Lenin himself through his leadership. This call to action echoed throughout society as they rallied behind these great minds. Collaborating with Kliment Vorochilov, Marshal of the Red Army and defender of Soviet borders against external threats, Stalin ensured that both workers and peasants found strength in unity. Their joint efforts were celebrated through vibrant artwork such as "The enemies of Five Year Plan" and "Portrait of Stalin, " which captured his unwavering determination. Stalin's indomitable spirit infused vigor into both our army and nation. Viktor Nikolaevich Deni's lithograph from 1939 beautifully portrays this sentiment while paying tribute to our leader. A mug shot featuring Joseph Jugashvili reveals another side to this complex figure—a political criminal whose fingerprints tell tales untold by history books. This document from Baku Police serves as a reminder that even great leaders have multifaceted stories.
