Joseph ben Caiaphas, a prominent figure in biblical history, is depicted in various artworks throughout the centuries. In "Jesus before Herod, " created by Henry Traut in 1922, we witness the encounter between Jesus and Herod. Another artwork by Traut, "Jesus before the Sanhedrin, " portrays the moment when Jesus stands before the Jewish council. Augustin Hirschvogel's "Jesus Being Led to Caiaphas" from 1549 captures this pivotal event with great intensity. In another work by Hirschvogel titled "Christ before Caiaphas, and Peter Denying Christ" (1548), we see both Jesus being questioned and Peter denying his association with him. Jacques Callot's piece from around 1624/1625 called "Christ before Caiaphas" offers a unique perspective on this scene. Augustin Hirschvogel returns with his artwork titled "Christ is Mocked, and Caiaphas Rends His Garments" (1549), which showcases the mockery endured by Christ during this trial. Leonard Bramer's painting named "Christ Before Caiaphas" (1640-1645) provides a dramatic depiction of this significant moment. Wenceslaus Hollar presents us with an illustration entitled "Jesus again before Caiaphas" (1625-77), offering yet another interpretation of this crucial event. An unknown artist contributes to our understanding through their work called "Christ Before Caiaphas, " part of The Passion of Christ collection dating back to ca. 1598-1617. Albrecht Durer's contribution comes in the form of an engraving titled "Christ before Caiaphas, " taken from The Passion series created in 1512. Lastly, an image captured around 1860 or later shows Jerusalem's Montagne de Sion featuring both the House of Caiphe and the Cenacle.
