The Junkers Ju-87, famously known as the Stuka, was a German dive bomber that played a significant role during World War II. With various models like the Junkers Ju-87B-2, Junkers Ju-87D, and Junkers Ju-87G-1, this aircraft proved its prowess in combat. One of the most iconic versions of the Stuka was the Junkers Ju-87B-2. Its distinctive inverted gull wings and menacing appearance struck fear into enemy forces. Equipped with powerful weaponry and precision bombing capabilities, it became a symbol of German air power. As the war progressed, newer models like the Junkers Ju-87D-5 and Junkers Ju-87G were introduced to enhance performance and adaptability on different terrains. These variants showcased improved armor protection and increased firepower to counter evolving threats. Notably, Italian pilots also manned some JU 87s German dive bombers during this period.
