"Judith Blunt Lytton: A Legacy of Equestrian Excellence" Step into the world of Judith Blunt Lytton, a prominent figure in the equestrian realm whose passion for horses knew no bounds. From her Derby and 2000 Guineas-winning horse Minoru to her Cream State Carriage Horse at Queen Victoria's Stud, she left an indelible mark on history. In 1909, artist WW Rouch immortalized Judith's beloved Minoru, capturing his grace and strength on canvas. This masterpiece remains a testament to their triumphant partnership. The allure of heritage was evident in Judith's collection as well. An exquisite piece from c1875 showcases her Cream State Carriage Horse, its creator unknown but its beauty unmatched. The regal presence of this majestic creature symbolizes the grandeur that surrounded Queen Victoria's reign. Fox Hunting has always been synonymous with British culture, and it is no surprise that Judith had a hand in preserving this tradition. In 1806, Richard Gilson Reeve depicted one such hunt where riders galloped through the countryside with sheer exhilaration - an image frozen in time by Judith's keen eye. Hyde Park Corner holds memories of bustling carriages and elegant steeds parading through London streets during the 19th century. Captured by an unknown artist in 1944, this painting transports us back to a time when horses were not only modes of transportation but also symbols of status and prestige. "The Hunter and the Hack: A Typical Cob, " painted by John Ferneley during the early-mid 19th century underlines Judith's appreciation for all equine breeds. This artwork celebrates both elegance and versatility - qualities embodied by these magnificent creatures who served various purposes throughout history. At Duke Cumberland's Stud Farm in Windsor Great Park circa 1765, five brood mares stood proudly against nature’s backdrop – another testament to Judith's commitment to preserving the lineage of these magnificent animals.
