Kathmandu Valley is the political, cultural, and economic hub of Nepal, and is located in the central part of Nepal and consists of three ancient cities - Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. The valley has a rich history dating back to the 4th century BC when it was ruled by Licchavi dynasty, and is home to seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa and Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. The valley also boasts numerous temples, shrines and monuments that reflect its diverse culture as well as its religious significance. Kathmandu Valley offers a unique blend of Hinduism and Buddhism which makes it an ideal destination for tourists from all over the world who come here to explore its many attractions.
