Johann Peter Krafft (1787-1856): A prolific Austrian painter of the Romantic era, Krafft is known for his portraits and historical scenes. This collection showcases a selection of his works, including head studies for "Arindal and Daura," around 1820/1855, hand studies for the same work, a study of a hare from around 1815, and portraits of various individuals such as Baron Peter von Duka (1814), Lieutenant Field Marshal Johann Ritter von Kutschera (1814), Werner von Trapp (1814), Sir Robert Wilson (before 1817), and Baron Johann von Hiller (1813). Additionally, there are portrait studies for "Archduke Karl with his staff in the Battle of Aspern," before 1817, and Count Johann von Paar (1814).
