"Lawns: A Tapestry of Nature and Culture" they have long been an integral part of our landscapes, offering a canvas for both natural beauty and human creativity. From the manicured lawns at The Esplanade in Lawns & Head, Bray, County Wicklow to the historic St Hildas College in Oxford captured in a timeless black and white photo, these green expanses hold stories that span generations. Here, Oak Alley Plantation stands proudly with its colonial-style house surrounded by meticulously maintained lawns, and is a testament to the elegance and grandeur that can be achieved through landscape design. But they can not just reserved for grand estates; they also provide spaces for leisurely activities such as afternoon tea on a sunny day.
