In the vast Arctic tundra, an Arctic Fox diligently searches for its next meal, sniffing the air in hopes of catching a whiff of lemmings. These small creatures, known as Collared Lemmings, are a common sight during winter on the Taimyr peninsula and Kara Sea shore in North Siberia. With their fluffy winter fur resembling furry balls from behind, Collared they are be seen feasting on buds and bark of dwarf willow that they dig out from beneath the snow. Their tracks leave imprints on the pristine white surface, marking their typical trail across the frozen landscape. Siberian it also make their presence known in this icy realm. Adult lemurs can be spotted near their burrows amidst the barren tundra. Like their collared counterparts, these resilient creatures survive harsh winters by feeding on dwarf willow. The large size of adult Collared Lemmings is evident when observing their impressive winter claws on one forepaw. This adaptation allows them to efficiently navigate through snowy terrain and secure food sources hidden beneath.
