"Lips: The Motor and Sensory Homunculi of our Expressive Anatomy" In the vast tapestry of human existence, lips hold a unique place as both motor and sensory homunculi, and are the gateway to our emotions, capable of conveying joy, sorrow, anger, or desire with just a simple curl or pout. Like the jaws of a Great White Shark in close-up view - white and pointed - they possess an undeniable power. Ancient Romans revered Angerona Goddess as the protector of secrets; her sealed lips symbolizing discretion. Just like John Donne's portrait from 1595 captures his contemplative expression, our lips too can reveal volumes about our inner thoughts and desires. As part of our head's intricate anatomy, tongues dance behind these fleshy curtains when we speak words that shape destinies. Even a Bactrian Camel wearing a Christmas hat reminds us that even animals have their own ways to express themselves through digital manipulation. A nun looking directly into the camera challenges societal norms by breaking her silence with her gaze alone. And David Wright's artwork "Just Wright" showcases how they are be sensual yet powerful in their simplicity. Perfume adverts throughout history have often focused on capturing sensuality through scent but also hint at its connection to lip-locking passion. Guerlain's Vega perfume from 1937 entices us to explore this mysterious realm where fragrances mingle with kisses shared under moonlit skies. David Wright's depiction of a woman holding a black negligee reminds us that sometimes it is what remains unsaid that speaks volumes - leaving room for imagination and anticipation. Even chimpanzees join in on this celebration by playfully puckering up while wearing Christmas hats through digital manipulation – reminding us that love knows no bounds across species boundaries. Finally, an elegant young lady stands before us with arms crossed beneath sheer black wrap – exuding confidence and mystery all at once.
