Major JT Gorman: A Royal Figure Embracing Adventure and Connection Step into the world of Major JT Gorman, a man whose life was intertwined with royalty and remarkable experiences. From Glamis Castle, the ancestral home of Queen Elizabeth, to the Parade of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides in Adelaide, Australia, Major Gorman's presence left an indelible mark. In 1937, we find ourselves at Royal Lodge in Windsor - a country retreat cherished by the royal family. Here, Major Gorman reveled in the tranquility that nature offered while engaging with his regal counterparts. The New Playground on the Site of the Old Foundling Hospital witnessed Her Majesty's delight as she embraced joyous moments alongside Major Gorman during this time. The Jubilee Celebrations of King George V brought Their Majesties to Edinburgh in both 1935 and 1937. Amidst this grandeur, His Majesty donned Highland dress upon arriving at St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh - an image forever etched in history. From there, our journey takes us to various events where Major Gorman accompanied His Majesty. At the Royal Agricultural Show in Southampton or inspecting a miniature railway at New Romney, Kent; these were occasions when camaraderie between them blossomed. Not one to shy away from adventure or public transport exploration, His Majesty found himself driving a tram through Glasgow's bustling streets back in 1924 - an act that showcased his down-to-earth nature and connection with everyday people. Camp life held great significance for Major Gorman too. In Southwold Suffolk's friendly atmosphere or within his very own boys' camp at Southwold itself; he fostered bonds while sharing stories around crackling fires under starlit skies. Armistice Day ceremonies held deep meaning for King George VI as well as for those who served their nations bravely during times of conflict.
