Mike Cookson is a legendary sidecar racer, known for his incredible skills and numerous victories at the Isle of Man TT. In 2018, he teamed up with William Moralee to compete in the Sidecar TT aboard a Honda Ireson. Their partnership was formidable as they navigated the treacherous course with precision and speed. Fast forward to 2022, and Mike Cookson was back on track, this time alongside William Moralie on a BMW for the Pre TT Classic event. The duo showcased their expertise once again, leaving spectators in awe of their seamless teamwork and daring maneuvers. But it's not just recent years that have seen Mike's success. In 1995, he joined forces with Kris Hibberd on an Ireson Honda for the Sidecar TT race. Their performance was nothing short of extraordinary as they pushed boundaries and claimed victory against fierce competition. Throughout his career, Mike has formed partnerships that have become synonymous with excellence. In 1996 and 1998, he teamed up with Jon Juster on Hondas for the Sidecar TT races. Together, they displayed unmatched synergy on the track, earning them well-deserved accolades. Over the years, Mike has also collaborated with Alun Thomas multiple times at various events such as the Parade Lap in 2016 or competing together at Sidecar TT races in both 2014 and 2015 using Honda Iresons. These partnerships were marked by trust and camaraderie as they tackled challenging circuits head-on. Notably in 2005 and then again in 2009 riding Shelbourne Hondas alongside Kris Hibberd; their performances were electrifying displays of skillful driving combined with remarkable machinery. As we reflect upon Mike Cookson's illustrious career filled with triumphs spanning decades from past to present day - one thing remains clear: his dedication to racing is unwavering.
