One such momentous occasion occurred in 1742 when George Whitefield, a renowned preacher, delivered his powerful sermon at Moorfields Fair. His words echoed through the bustling fairgrounds, leaving a lasting impact on all who listened. Moving forward to 1926, Bethlem Hospital stood proudly within Moorfields. This institution served as The Royal Hospital of Bethlehem and housed a gallery specifically designated for men.
