"Movable: A Journey through Time and Innovation" Step into the world of Johannes Gutenberg, a German goldsmith and printer who revolutionized the way we disseminate knowledge. His invention type in the 15th century paved the way for mass printing, transforming society forever. As we delve further into history, we encounter The Vancott, or movable cottage caravan - a portable home that allowed nomads to wander freely while still enjoying the comforts of shelter. This ingenious creation brought mobility to new heights. Traveling across continents, we arrive in Cork, Ireland where "The Jingle" or Covered Car captured our attention. With its adaptable design and protective coverings, it provided a versatile mode of transportation suitable for various weather conditions. Moving on to military innovations, an engraving from Museo Militar showcases the Spanish sallet helmet. Its movable visor offered both protection and flexibility during combat situations - a testament to human ingenuity even in times of war. Continuing our exploration through time, we discover Falconet - an impressive artillery piece depicted in another engraving from Museo Militar. Its ability to be transported easily made it a formidable weapon on battlefields throughout history. Intriguingly designed wooden mantlets on wheels take us back to medieval times when these mobile shields were used as defensive structures during sieges. The engravings by Serra depict their practicality and adaptability amidst turbulent warfare. Transitioning from defense to fashion, we encounter anime armor with Hungarian influences dating back to 1580 Italy. This moveable attire not only protected warriors but also allowed them freedom of movement in combat scenarios – blending style with functionality seamlessly. Our journey then takes us towards gauntlets showcased at Museo Militar through intricate engravings that highlight their flexible nature while providing essential hand protection during battles – yet another example of how movability enhances safety on the battlefield.
