"Exploring the Enchanting Villages of New Mexico: A Glimpse into the Past" Step back in time to 1940s New Mexico, as captured by renowned photographer John Collier. In the Village of Placita near Penasco, Taos County, we witness a snapshot of everyday life. The simplicity and charm of this small community are beautifully preserved through Collier's lens. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains dominate the horizon in several photographs from 1943.
