Nikolai II, also known as Tsar Nicholas II, was the last emperor of Russia. His reign was marked by significant events and controversies that shaped the course of history. In 1905, amidst growing unrest in the country, a powerful message emerged through Judge magazine's chromolithograph: "Stop Your Cruel Oppression of the Jews. " This artwork depicted the plea for justice and equality during a time when discrimination against Jews was prevalent. Another lithograph from 1905 portrayed Russian Czar Nicholas II faced with a crucial decision between war and liberty. It symbolized the challenges he confronted as a leader during this tumultuous period in his reign. Born in 1868, Nikolai II ascended to power as Tsar of Russia and found himself at the helm during World War I. The black-and-white photographs captured him reviewing an honor guard or immersed in discussions related to wartime strategies. Historical images reveal intriguing connections between Nikolai II and other world leaders. A photograph from 1893 shows King George V alongside his cousin Tsar Nicolas II, highlighting their familial ties amid political responsibilities.
