Obelisks, towering symbols of grandeur and history, have captivated the world for centuries. From their origins in ancient Egypt to their presence in various corners of the globe, these majestic structures continue to inspire awe and wonder. In the realm of music and opera, Verdi's masterpiece "Aida" transports us to a bygone era where obelisks adorned the landscape of Egypt. The opulent Karnak Temple and its sacred lake provide a stunning backdrop for this timeless tale. Closer to home in Europe lies Paris' Place de la Concorde with its iconic Ferris wheel framed by elegant obelisks.
