"Unleashing the Chivalrous Spirit: A Glimpse into the Order of Knights" Step back in time and immerse yourself in the world of knights, where honor, bravery, and chivalry reigned supreme. From ancient woodcuts to intricate engravings, these captivating artworks offer a window into the legendary tales of valiant warriors on horseback. In a mesmerizing woodcut from 1517-18, two riders engage in an intense battle atop their majestic steeds. Their swords clash as they embody the essence of medieval combat. This scene transports us to an era when knights fought for justice and defended their kingdoms with unwavering loyalty. The iconic figure of King Arthur takes center stage in a bronze sculpture from 1513. With his regal demeanor and noble expression, he epitomizes leadership and inspires countless generations with his legendary exploits. Don Quixote gallops onto our canvas through a vibrant illustration dating back to around 1916. This whimsical depiction captures the spirit of adventure as this fictional knight embarks on daring quests while promoting fortifying Globeol—a testament to how knights continue to captivate our imagination even centuries later. A lady on horseback accompanied by a soldier is immortalized in an enchanting engraving from 1495-99. The image exudes elegance and strength as it showcases women who defied societal norms by embracing equestrian pursuits alongside their male counterparts. Dating back further still is the Bamberger Reiter—carved between 1225-37—an enigmatic stone statue that has puzzled historians for centuries. Its mysterious allure only adds to its significance within knightly lore. An exquisite engraving titled "The Big Horse" transports us to 1564 when horses were revered companions on every battlefield. The artwork pays homage not only to these magnificent creatures but also serves as a reminder that knights relied heavily upon them during times of war.
