"The Wild Bunch: Legends of the American Outlaws" Step back in time to 1901, where a notorious gang of American outlaws known as The Wild Bunch ruled the land. Led by the charismatic Butch Cassidy, this group of bank and train robbers struck fear into the hearts of many. Traveling across Europe, we stumble upon a statue of Robin Hood in Nottingham, England. Just like Belle Starr and other bandits from the 19th century, Robin Hood embodied the spirit of an outlaw fighting for justice against oppressive forces. In another era, Dick Turpin meets his fellow highwayman Tom King in an engraving that captures their daring escapades on horseback. Meanwhile, Ned Kelly finds himself captured by Police Constable Kelly and railwayman Jesse Dowsett after a thrilling chase through Australia's rugged terrain. As we delve deeper into history, we encounter Dick Turpin riding gallantly with his loyal steed Black Bess on his way to York. This colorful lithograph showcases Turpin's audacity as he defied authority at every turn. The allure extends beyond real-life figures; it permeates art as well. "The Outlaw, " a captivating oil painting from 1861, immortalizes these renegades who dared to challenge societal norms. Similarly, "Partnership Dissolved" depicts two outlaws parting ways amidst uncertainty and danger. Venturing into Fort Worth, Texas in 1900 brings us face-to-face with the infamous Hole in the Wall Gang—a fearsome group whose exploits echoed throughout history. Their black-and-white photograph reveals both their camaraderie and their ruthlessness. Literature also embraces tales of rebellion; "The Black Arrow" takes readers on an exhilarating journey alongside rebels fighting against tyranny during medieval times. These literary outlaws inspire generations with their courage and resilience. Lastly, we glimpse at Ned Kelly's death mask taken after his execution in 1880.
