A pagoda is a type of tower-like structure found in many parts of Asia. It typically has multiple tiers, with each tier having an upward-curving roof and can range from simple to ornately decorated and are often used as temples or shrines for religious worship and may also be used as monuments or landmarks, and some are even built to house relics or artifacts. Pagodas have been around since ancient times and were originally constructed out of wood, but today they can be made out of a variety of materials such as stone, brick, concrete, and metal. The design of pagodas varies depending on the region they are located in; however, most feature multiple stories with curved roofs that taper towards the top.
