"Parker: A Tale of Outlaws, Writing, and Prehistoric Wonders" In the vast realm of American desperados, two names stand out - Butch Cassidy and Harry Longbaugh. Better known as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, this notorious duo led a gang called the Wild Bunch. In 1901, they were captured on film in Fort Worth, Texas alongside their fellow outlaws. But Parker is not just about these infamous criminals; it encompasses so much more. It takes us back to 1930 when Dorothy Parker was at her literary peak. Known for her sharp wit and biting humor, she left an indelible mark on American literature. Yet even further back in time lies another great change - the last days of the dinosaurs. These magnificent creatures roamed the Earth during a time of immense transformation. Speaking of wild beings, let's not forget The Wild Bunch themselves - a gang that struck fear into hearts as they robbed banks and trains across America in 1901 under Butch Cassidy's leadership. Boxing also had its heyday during the early 19th century. Henry Thomas Alken captures this brutal sport with his artwork from 1941, showcasing both skill and determination within those squared ropes. Nature has always fascinated us with its diverse species like male and female Red Grouse Lagopus lagopus or even ancient creatures like Scleromochlus or Ornithosuchus. And who can ignore the majestic Pterodactyl soaring through prehistoric skies? Amidst all these tales emerges Quanah Parker – a Native American Kwahadi Comanche leader whose photograph from c1895 reminds us of indigenous cultures' resilience against adversity. Even advertisements have their place in history; one such example is an advert for Parker Pens dating back to 1940 – reminding us how writing instruments have evolved over time while remaining essential tools for communication.
