Paul George Konody was a renowned art critic and writer, known for his expertise in the works of Raphael. His extensive knowledge and passion for Renaissance art allowed him to delve into the intricacies of Raphael's masterpieces. One such masterpiece is "Portrait of Raphael, " painted around 1505. Konody admired how this painting captured the essence of the artist himself, revealing his talent and introspective nature. The attention to detail showcased in every stroke fascinated Konody, as he marveled at Raphael's ability to bring life to canvas. Another remarkable work that captivated Konody was "Putto with Garland, " created by Raphael circa 1510.
