Petroglyphs, also known as ancient Indian rock art, offer a fascinating glimpse into the rich cultural history of various civilizations. One such remarkable site is Newspaper Rock, located near The Needles section of Canyonlands National Park in Utah, United States of America. Carved on red sandstone by scratching, these Indian petroglyphs tell stories that have withstood the test of time. Another noteworthy location showcasing petroglyphs is Parowan Gap in Iron County, Utah. This area boasts Ute Rock Art, where intricate designs are etched onto the rocks near Wolfe Ranch in Arches National Park. These petroglyphs serve as a testament to the artistic prowess and spiritual beliefs of indigenous communities. Capitol Reef National Park is home to yet another collection of captivating petroglyphs. Here, visitors can marvel at rock engravings that date back centuries and provide insights into ancient cultures' way of life. Traveling across continents brings us to Twyfelfontein in Namibia.
