"From the treacherous slopes of Mt Everest to the coal mines of South Wales, picking has been a timeless act across different landscapes and eras. In 1922, Norton and Mallory embarked on their historic British Mt Everest Expedition, carefully picking their way through icy terrain. Meanwhile, miners in South Wales tirelessly picked at the coalface during the 1921 strike, determined to make ends meet. The Ford F100 pickup truck in its striking blue metallic hue became an iconic symbol of American craftsmanship in 1956 as it effortlessly picked up loads along country roads. In Kent's Boughton District, hop pickers diligently plucked ripe cones from towering vines under the warm sun. Their hard work ensured a bountiful harvest for breweries far and wide. The Piaggio Ape 500 pickup provided nimble transportation for small-scale deliveries, adeptly navigating narrow streets with ease. Fast forward to modern times; the Dodge Ram Hemi Crew-Cab roars with power as it conquers rugged terrains while hauling heavy loads effortlessly. And who can forget the legendary Dodge Li'l Red Express Truck? Its fiery red exterior matched its fiery performance on the road. But amidst all these machines and expeditions lies a humble miner working deep within a coal seam in South Wales – his trusty pick serving as his only companion against darkness and danger since 1869. " Note.
