Pieter Hendricksz Schut was a talented Dutch printmaker and artist who lived during the 17th century. His works encompassed a wide range of subjects, from historical events to everyday scenes. One notable engraving is "The Departure of Charles II from Scheveningen, " which captures the momentous occasion with intricate detail. Schut's skill in creating ornate cartouches is evident in his works such as "Cartouche with lobe ornament with a fisherman" and "Cartouche with lobe ornament with four angels. " These pieces showcase his ability to combine delicate designs and religious symbolism.
