Solitary Boy finds solace in the rain-soaked streets of Glasgow, his reflection mirroring a world filled with possibilities. In February Fill Dyke, 1881, Benjamin Williams Leader captures the essence of a moment when nature's tears merge with man-made puddles. Across continents and oceans, from Pemaquid Lighthouse in Maine to Hest Bank Salt Marsh in Lancashire, puddles become canvases for fleeting beauty. The Trossachs' Scottish roads transform into mirrors reflecting the breathtaking landscapes that surround them. In Abhaneri's Chand Baori stepwell, Rajasthan reveals its ancient secrets as history intertwines with water droplets. The old man of Storr stands tall amidst raindrops falling gently on rugged terrain. Legends are born where Walter Raleigh lays his cloak at Queen Elizabeth I's feet; romance blossoms even in the humblest of reflections. New York City's Flatiron Building dances gracefully upon a puddle's surface while Rome's Colosseum gazes back at its own grandeur. Nature and humanity converge as Ruddy Turnstones find respite within Whitstable Harbour's watery embrace. Even Havana Vieja embraces artistry through graffiti adorning its urban landscape. Puddles may seem insignificant but hold within them stories waiting to be discovered - tales of solitude and connection, past and present entwined by mere drops of water.
