Ragnarok: The Last Battle, a Norse apocalyptic myth comes to life in both ancient art and modern storytelling. Odin, the Allfather, and Fenrir the wolf clash in this epic battle, as depicted in "From Valhalla: Gods of the Teutons" (1905). Thor, the mighty god of thunder, wages war against the Midgard serpent and giants, as seen in chromolithos from the 10th century. Heimdallr, the watchman of the gods, summons Valhalla's warriors with the blast of his Gjallar horn.
