Striding Edge, a breathtaking ridge in the Lake District National Park, Cumbria, England. The rugged beauty of this region is unmatched, with the picturesque Ullswater and its little island captivating visitors even in November. As we explore different parts of the world, we come across various ridges that leave us spellbound. In Scotland's Scottish Highlands, daredevils take on the Aonach Eagach Ridge above Glencoe - a thrilling challenge amidst stunning landscapes. Meanwhile, Goat Fell Range in Brecon Beacons showcases nature's grandeur at its finest. Reflecting upon history, we remember significant events like The Canadians at Ypres during World War I depicted by William Barnes Wollen or scenes from The Zulu war where the Battle of Isandula took place. Across the pond in America's vast wilderness lie equally mesmerizing ridges. Whether it be Earth's topographic and bathymetric map or these real-life wonders scattered across continents, ridges continue to captivate our imagination and remind us of nature's awe-inspiring power wherever we may roam.
