The Riley 9 Brooklands has left an indelible mark on the racing world, with its sleek design and impressive performance. From the iconic Ards Circuit in Belfast to the historic Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb in Worcestershire, this car has graced some of the most prestigious tracks in history. In 1929, Triumph and Riley cars lined up side by side at the RAC TT Race, their engines roaring with anticipation. Among them was CM30 4226 Scott Hughes' Riley 9 Brooklands, ready to conquer any challenge that lay ahead. E Maclure's Riley 9 Brooklands stood tall alongside JF Field's Bugatti Type 43 at the same race. These two powerful machines were a force to be reckoned with as they sped around the Ards Circuit. Earl Howe himself couldn't resist being beside a Riley 9 Brooklands at the MAC Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb during the c1930s. This car exuded elegance and style while tackling one of England's most challenging hill climbs. At Donington Park in Leicestershire, JR Baker's Singer and CA Richardson's Riley Brooklands competed fiercely against each other in 1933. The crowd held their breath as these two formidable opponents pushed themselves to their limits on this legendary track. But it wasn't just rivalries between different brands; even within Riley itself there was fierce competition. PF Jucker led J Eason-Gibson's Riley Brooklands while driving his Frazer-Nash at Donington Park that same year, showcasing both skill and determination on this renowned circuit. Brooklands was not only home to thrilling races but also witnessed breathtaking displays of speed from Salmson, Talbot 90, and our beloved Riley 9 Brooklands. These three titans clashed head-on during a BARC meeting that left spectators awestruck by their sheer power and agility.
