Robert Louis Jacques Lefevre was a renowned French artist known for his exceptional portraits of prominent figures during the Napoleonic era. His skillful brushstrokes captured the essence and grandeur of individuals such as Napoleon the Great, Emperor of the French, and King of Italy in 1806. Lefevre's talent also immortalized military leaders like Nicolas Charles Oudinot and Pierre Augereau, both depicted in striking detail in 1804. In another masterpiece by Lefevre, we see Nicolas Charles Oudinot portrayed again around 1811, this time with Maurin as the artist. The Duke of Rovigo, Anne-Jean-Marie-Rene Savary, is brought to life through Lefevre's artistry in a painting from 1814. Lefevre's portraits extended beyond military figures; he also painted influential political personalities such as Marshal Charles-Pierre-Francois Augereau, Duke of Castiglione. Another notable subject was Hugues-Bernard Maret, Duke of Bassano. Both men were beautifully rendered by Lefevre around 1800. The artistic prowess shines through yet again in his portrayal of Marshal Nicolas-Charles Oudinot, Duke of Reggio. This stunning portrait from 1811 showcases not only Oudinot but also highlights Lefevre's ability to capture intricate details with precision. Lefevre's talent extended beyond male subjects; he also painted remarkable women like Marie-Pauline Bonaparte - Madame Leclerc and Princess Borghese - whose beauty radiates from his canvas circa 1806. Lucien Bonaparte, Prince of Canino and brother to Napoleon Bonaparte himself became one more subject that graced Lefevre's portfolio around 1800.
