Robert Lunt, a local talent in the world of sidecar racing, has made quite a name for himself over the years. Partnering with skilled riders like Debbie Barron and Dave Quirk, Lunt has showcased his exceptional skills on various tracks. In 2011, Lunt joined forces with Debbie Barron on an Ireson Kawasaki at the Southern 100 race. Their partnership proved to be formidable as they conquered the challenging course and left their competitors in awe. The following year, Lunt teamed up with Barron again for the Sidecar TT event. Riding an Ireson Kawasaki once more, they displayed remarkable teamwork and determination throughout the race. Lunt's success continued into 2013 when he partnered with Dave Quirk on a DMR Yamaha for another thrilling Sidecar TT competition. The duo pushed themselves to new limits as they maneuvered through treacherous turns and raced against some of the best in the sport. In 2014 and 2015, Lunt found himself alongside John Saunders riding a Shelbourne Honda at both Sidecar TT events. Together, they demonstrated incredible speed and precision while tackling each lap with unwavering focus. The year 2016 brought even more excitement for Lunt as he competed in multiple races alongside different partners. With Quirk by his side once again on an Ireson Suzuki, they participated in both Sidecar A TT events where their chemistry shone brightly amidst fierce competition. Notably, Brian Kelly & Jason O'Connor (MR Equipe) joined forces with Quirk & Lunt during one of those races - showcasing how respected Robert is within this tight-knit community. Throughout his career, it has proven time and time again that he possesses immense talent behind the handlebars of a sidecar machine. His dedication to honing his skills has earned him respect from fellow racers and fans alike.
