"Sanguine on Paper: A Captivating Collection of Artistic Expressions" Step into the world of art as we explore a diverse range of captivating masterpieces, all rendered with the timeless medium known as sanguine on paper. From the delicate strokes that bring to life the Portrait of Baron Paul Ludwig Schilling von Cannstatt, painted before 1822 by Hampeln, to the lower torso of Ida Rubinstein in 1915, exquisitely captured by an unknown artist. Intriguingly provocative is Gustav Klimt's Reclining Semi-Nude (Masturbating) from 1912-1913. With bold and sensual lines, Klimt challenges societal norms and invites viewers to contemplate human desires and pleasures. Bernard Picart's Self-Portrait transports us back to a time long past. Created between 1673-1733, it offers a glimpse into the mind and soul of this talented artist who skillfully captures his own essence on paper. Girolamo Siciolante da Sermoneta's Santa Teresa de Avila enchants us with its ethereal beauty. The divine aura surrounding this religious figure seems almost palpable through each stroke meticulously placed upon the page. Lavinia Fontana's Portrait study of a child with a pearl necklace showcases her remarkable talent for capturing innocence and purity in her subjects. This tender portrayal evokes both joy and nostalgia within our hearts. Guercino's Cupid putting an arrow away in his quiver reminds us that love can be both gentle and fleeting. Through his skilled hand, Guercino immortalizes this momentary pause in passion for eternity. Raphael's Young female figure in profile takes us back to Renaissance Italy where grace meets elegance on paper. The delicacy with which he portrays her features speaks volumes about Raphael's mastery as an artist. Perino del Vaga mesmerizes us with Vertumnus and Pomona, a masterpiece from around 1527.
