"Capturing the Essence of Self: A Journey Through Time and Art" Step into the world of self-portraits, where artists have bared their souls through various mediums. From The Photo Automat to pencil sketches on paper, these timeless creations offer a glimpse into the minds and hearts of their creators. Eugenio Lucas Velazquez's self-portrait circa 1860 showcases his introspective gaze, inviting us to ponder his innermost thoughts. In contrast, Eugenio Lucas Villaamil's 1910 self-portrait exudes confidence and determination, reflecting an artist comfortable in his own skin. Anna Bilinska-Bohdanowiczowa's "Self-portrait with a Palette" captures her artistic spirit as she stands proudly before her canvas. Meanwhile, Albrecht Durer's etching from 1645 portrays him at the age of 26, showcasing both youthfulness and ambition. In Egon Schiele's pencil sketch "Schiele with Nude Model before the Mirror, " we witness vulnerability intertwined with creativity.
