Accident - Snow from Roof: The weight of accumulated snow causes a roof to collapse, reminding us of the importance of timely shovelling and maintenance. Miner at coal face -3: Deep underground, miners tirelessly shovel away debris and extract precious coal to fuel our industries. Miner at coal face -2: In the dimly lit tunnels, sweat drips down their brows as they continue their arduous task with unwavering determination. Miner at coal face -1: With each shovel-full removed from the earth's belly, these unsung heroes contribute to powering nations and providing warmth during harsh winters. Steeping, couching and flooring malt, 1886: Shovelling takes various forms; here we witness malt being carefully handled by workers in an age-old brewing process. Stone-breaking cell in a workhouse: Amidst grueling conditions within workhouses past centuries ago, individuals were tasked with breaking stones using nothing but sheer strength and shovels for progress.
