Sir Drake Sweynes Cameron (1873-1957): A Scottish surgeon and military hero, Sir Drake Sweynes Cameron is best known for his pioneering work in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Serving as a surgeon in the British Army during World War I, he developed innovative techniques to repair damaged noses using the patient's own cartilage, revolutionizing the treatment of war injuries. Known as the 'Nose Man of the Western Front,' he performed over 1,000 such surgeries, improving the lives of countless soldiers.
