Sir Henry Raeburn was a renowned Scottish portrait painter who lived from 1756 to 1823. His works captured the essence and beauty of his subjects, showcasing their personalities and emotions. One of his notable pieces is "Boy with Rabbit, " painted around 1814. In this painting, Raeburn skillfully portrays the innocence and curiosity of youth as the young boy holds a rabbit in his arms. Another masterpiece by Raeburn is "The Macnab" from 1802. This captivating artwork depicts a distinguished gentleman wearing traditional Scottish attire, exuding confidence and authority. The attention to detail in this painting showcases Raeburn's exceptional talent for capturing individual features.
